Ancient Times

In ancient times, bees were considered a symbol of the soul of death and the release of spirits.

Legend says that when a bee flies a soul will rise it was believed that a person would be released into the next life if a bee was present when the person died.

Field

This is a typical setting, a field with holes instead of a traditional cemetary, signifies that spirits come to melinda unusual ways.

Two pieces

Melinda is a human being torn between two worlds ... that of the living and that of the dead. With each ghostly encounter, Melinda experiences growth. A bee lands on lily. This is the introduction of the bee's journey into the GHOST WHISPERER world.

Two Angel

Melinda is a happily married antique dealer. Some of the antiques coming into her store have ghosts attached to them. The clothes here cast no shadows because ghosts do not have shadows, but the living do, as evidenced by the shadows thrown by the credits. The fallingfeather indicates unfinished business for this ghost.

Woman on the Chair

The Woman on the chair is holding an egg, which symbolizes the beginning of a piece of business. As the woman becomes a ghost, the egg cracks open to reveal a bird, which signifies a completed piece of business.

The House

Then the woman disappers, leaving the bird to journey through its own cycle before it crosses over into the light. This sequence represents what Melinda does : she helpes spirits complete unfinished business before helping them cross into the light. In additon, she gives closure to those left behind.

Ghost Boy

Through falling rain and storm clouds, ghost boy and Melinda are revealed. Acloud obscures his face bacause he is confused. The cloud dissipates and the ghost moves forward. Melinda is giving the ghost clarity so that he can move forward and cross into the light.
